MEN'S SOCCER SHUTOUT BY DAYTON 3-0

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's soccer team (2-13-1, 1-9,A-10) lost their ninth straight game on Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2001 to the Dayton Flyers 3-0.

Dayton's Tye Stebbins scored the first goal of the game at the 32:00 in the first half with an assist by freshman forward Chris Wolfe. The Owls defense was able to hold the Flyers for the rest of the first half allowing Dayton only three shots on goal. The Flyers answered back in the second half with goals by Wade Fischer and Joe Hall with Chris Wolfe getting his second and third assist on the day.

The Owls were led by senior Jim Raisch with two shots on goal and goalie Patrick Hannigan with five saves. Kevin Olinger, Steven Wacker, Peter Perry and J.R. Sames also had one shot on goal during the game.

The Owls have two more home games next weekend against La Salle on Friday 11/2 at 2:30 and Fordham University on 11/4 at 1:00 p.m.
