WACKER NAMED CO-FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR; 2001 ALL-STAR

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman forward Steven Wacker was named Co-Freshman of the year and the lone freshman All-Star for the Philadelphia Soccer Seven it was announced last night, November 27, 2001at the annual PSS soccer banquet. Wacker received the honor with La Salle goaltender Stash Graham and Drexel defender Justin Sadler.

Wacker was the only Owl to start all 18 games for the Owls (4-13-1, 3-8, A-10) in 2001and led the team with shots on goal with 27. Posting four points in the season, Wacker scored one goal and was tied for first on the team in assists with two.

Other accomplishments for Wacker this season include Atlantic 10 Second team all-conference honors and Philadelphia Soccer Seven player of the week for the week ending 11/4
