Women's Gymnastics Places Second Behind Quakers

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's gymnastic team place second in a home tri-meet with Penn and Ursinus College . The Owls defeated Ursinus for the second time this season (186.500 -178.925) and lost to Penn for the second time this season. The Quakers edge the Owls 187.650-186.50. The win over Ursinus and the loss to Penn drops the Owls' record to 5-7 overall.
The Owls were led by strong performances by junior Cicely Warrington. Warrington finished second on the floor exercise (9.85) and in the all around (37.52). Sophomore Andrea McGary placed second on the vault with a score of 9.45. Freshman Paige Ozaroski tied for place second on the bars with a 9.675. Junior Maggie Tolerico finished third in the all around (37.05). Penn's Anna Wilson completed the triple by winning the bars, vault and scored an outstanding 9.925 on the floor exercise to led the Quakers.
The Owls (5-7) will travel to the state of Maryland to participate in the Towson University Invitational on Saturday, February 17th at 1pm.
