Owls Finish Tenth At Liberty Ramada Classic

PENHOOK, VA. -- Chris Bartolacci put together two solid rounds in the 70s to help the Temple University Golf team to an 10th place finish at the Liberty Ramada Classic in Penhook,Va. Bartolacci shot 74-76 (+6) over the two-day event held at The Water's Edge Country Club to finish in a five-way tie for 25th. As a team, the Owls shot 625 (+49).
Robert Whiting, Mark Watt and James Chan each had strong showings for the Owls. Whiting shot 77-80 (+13) to finish in a tie for 42nd. Watt (82-76, +14) finished only a stroke behind Whiting, ending up in a tie for 44th. Chan shot 83-77 and tied for 49th. Rounding out the event for the Owls was Bryan Clark, who shot 98-83 to finish in 60th place. This was Clark's first event of the season.
Next up the Owls will travel to Princeton, N.J. for the Princeton Invitational April 13-14. This will be Temple's final tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championships April 20-22 in Fayetteville, Pa.
