Women's Relay Teams Finish Strong At Raleigh Relays

PHILADELPHIA (April 2) - The women's outdoor track & field team competed
this past weekend in the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University.
The Owls competed against different colleges including Seton Hall, Penn State,
North Carolina, and Ball State.
In the 4x200 relay, the Owls placed fourth with a time of 1:39.23. In the
sprint medley relay, Temple came in fifth place (4:01.52). The team also
finished tenth in the 4x400m with a time of 46.88. Senior Afia Brown placed
fourth overall in the 200m dash with a time of 24.46. In the 200m dash,
sophomore Naomi Beverly finished seventeenth (24.46). Freshman Samantha
Porter and senior Kasha Craig came in twenty-forth and sixty-first places in
the 400m (57.79, 60.00).
Freshman Jaweia Campbell posted a time of 15.59 in the 100m hurdles and in the
400m hurdles, freshman Jessica Jenning came in thirty-sixth place (1:05.85).
Owls' sophomore, Angela Gblah placed forty-fourth in the triple jump (10.49m).
In the shot put, Enewan Adjah finished fortieth overall with a throw of
10.15m.
The next meet for both the men's and women's teams is this Saturday, April 7
at the Maryland Invitational.
