OWLS SHUTOUT IN SEASON OPENER

9.2.01 | Men's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple University men's socer team was shutout 2-0 by the Drexel Dragons in their season opener on Saturday, September 1.

The Owls had 11 shots on goal and goalie Pat Hannigan had six saves in the net. For Drexel, forward Jim Costello scored the game winning goal in the first half followed by midfielder Tom Canning's goal later in the game.

The Owls play in their home opener at Temple Stadium on Tuesday, September 5 against Long Island University.
