VOLLEYBALL AND WIN STREAK SNAPPED BY DUQUESNE

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's volleyball team (10-3, 3-1) had their nine game winning streak snapped by the Duquesne Dukes on Friday night, September 28 at McGonigle Hall when they lost 3-1. The games scores were 27-30, 30-24, 25-30 and 30-27.
Sophomore outside hitter Yamit Haba led the Owls with 20 kills and 17 digs while fellow outside hitter Yun Xu had 16 kills and 18 digs. Junior setter Solana Lee had 69 assists for the Owls.
The Dukes were led by Sherene Lemonias with 18 kills and 14 digs while Brooke Saunders had 13 kills and 11 digs. Setter Sarah Brown had 44 assists on the night.
Next up for the Owls is defending Atlantic 10 champion George Washington University on October 2 at McGonigle Hall, game time is at 7:00 p.m.
