TEMPLE WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES SIXTH AT GW INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's gymnastics team placed sixth at the George Washington Invitational held in Washington, D.C., January 19. The Owls posted a 184.250 team score. George Washington won the invitational with a 191.600 team score.
Senior Cicely Warrington was the Owls' top performer in the all-around, placing tied for eighth with a 37.050 effort. The Howell, N.J. native continued to excel on floor, leading the team with a 9.675 score in the event.
Freshman Erin Davis also performed well, tying for 10th with a 36.975 all-around effort. The Newark, Del. native led the Owls and placed seventh on beam with a 9.625 score.
On vault the Owls were led by junior Andrea McGary (9.400). Junior Brynne Hillman posted the team's best score on bars with a 9.600.
The Owls best team score of the competition was on floor exercise. Temple posted a team score of 46.900 to place fourth in the event.
