WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD HAVE VICTORIOUS WEEKEND AT FORDHAM, BUCKNELL

In sprints at the Fordham Invitational, freshman Rachel Clinton took first place in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.98 while Jessica Dunston took third in 9.22 and Dreamer Patterson was sixth with a time of 9.54. In the 55m dash, Naomi Beverly led the Owls with a second place finish and a time of 7.75. Coming in behind Beverly was Aderonke Adenoyi with a time of 7.78 and LaShawn Matinez with a seventh place finish and a time of 8:00 flat. In the 200m dash, Chanel dale brought home a fifth place finish and a time of 25.90 while Samantha Porter placed eighth with a time of 26.65. In the 800, Nicole Porter placed sixth with a time of 2:23.68 while freshman Laura Alps finished eighth with a time of 2:26.34. In jumps, junior Edith Lewis took home a third place in the long jump with a height of 17'06 3/4" and a fourth place in the triple jump with a height of 36'05". Freshman Ashley Holiday brought home a fifth place finish in the triple jump with a height of 35'07 3/4".
At Bucknell, Holiday placed first in the long jump with a height of 17'11 1/4 " beating teammate Farren Benson by just a quarter of an inch. Rachel Clinton took first place in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8:34 while teammate Dunston finished second with a time of 8.46. Beverly and Adeniyi took first and second place in the 55m dash with times of 7.23 and 7.25 respectively. In the mile, freshman Kerrie Stephank took sixth place with a time of 5:55.82 while teammate Nola Norris took third place in the 800m dash with a time of 2:41.26.
