WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS SETS TWO SCHOOL RECORDS AT TRI-MEET

The Temple women's gymnastics team set new school records on both the vault and bars in a tri-meet at College Park, Md. on Sunday, January 27. The Owls posted a 48.075 team score on vault and a 47.650 overall effort on bars.

All six Owls that competed in the vault posted scores of 9.500 or better, including junior Andrea McGary, who posted a team best 9.700. On bars, four of six competitors recorded scores of 9.500 or better, including freshman Erin Davis, who had a team best 9.650.

Temple finished third at the meet with a 189.950 score, behind No. 1 Georgia (196.475) and host Maryland (194.875).

Temple was also led by junior Brynne Hillman and senior Cicely Warrington, who placed fourth and fifth in the all-around with scores of 38.400 and 38.250, respectively. Warrington was the Owls' top beam performer with a sixth place score of 9.750 and Hillman led the Temple competitors on floor with a 9.650.
