CARSON GRABS MEN'S SOCCER ATLANTIC 10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONORS

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman Blair Carson of the Temple University men's soccer team was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 27, 2002.

Carson tallied the game-winning goal in the final .41 seconds of regulation play to lift the Owls over Rhode Island 2-1 on Sunday, October 27. The goal was the first of his college career. He also had an assist on the first goal of the game for three points on the week. With the win, the Owls broke a four game losing and scoring streak and improved their overall record to 6-11 and 3-6 in the Atlantic 10.

The Cherry and White will travel to Ohio this weekend to take on Dayton (11/1) and Xavier (11/3). Game times are 3:00pm. and 1pm.
