MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO LA SALLE 2-1

In the rough and tumble game where 11 cards were issued throughout the game, La Salle was on the board first when Bob Buoncristiano scored with a shot through the left side to put the Explorers up 1-0. Temple defender Kyle Haywood evened the score at the 22 -minute mark when he scored on a deflected ball of the crossbar.
LaSalle took the led in the second period when Tom Kenney scored on a double header shot into the net, putting LaSalle up 2-1. Temple's offense was unable to even the score to push the game into overtime.
Owls goalie Patrick Hannigan led the Owls defense and posted one save. LaSalle goalie Stash Graham recorded 10 saves in the effort.
The Cherry and White are back home this weekend to face St. Bonaventure on October 11 and Duquesne on October 13. Game times are 3:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
