WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES FIFTH AT TOWSON INVITATIONAL

The Temple University women's gymnastics team placed fifth at the Towson Invitational, held in Towson, Md., Sunday, February 17. The Owls posted a 185.925 score to finish behind George Washington (1st, 195.025), Towson (2nd, 193.875), Yale (3rd, 190.000) and Penn (4th, 188.175).

Temple's best event of the competition was the vault, where the Owls placed third with a 47.750 team score. Temple placed fourth on bars, beam and on the floor exercise.

Individually, Cicely Warrington had the teams' best event finish, placing eighth on vault with a 9.700 score. Freshman Alexis Zafferis was the Owls' only other competitor to place top ten in an event, placing 10th on vault with a 9.625 effort.

Freshman Erin Davis was the Owls top all-around competitor with a 37.550 score.
