WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS EARNS TRI-MEET VICTORY AT PENN

2.9.02 | Women's Gymnastics

The Temple University women's gymnastics team captured a tri-meet victory over Penn and Ursinus on Friday, February 8, at Weightman Hall on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. The Owls posted a 187.500 team score to out-distance Penn (183.700) and Ursinus (182.375).

Temple senior Cicely Warrington won the all-around with a 37.925 effort behind first place finishes on floor exercise (9.700) and balance beam (9.625). The Howell, N.J. native also placed second on vault with a 9.500 effort and tied for seventh on parallel bars with a 9.100 score.

Junior Brynne Hillman placed first on parallel bars with a 9.750 score en route to a second-place all-around finish (37.300). Freshman Erin Davis placed third all-around with a 37.250 score and senior Maggie Tolerico finished fourth with a 37.225 all-around total as the Owls swept the first four all-around positions.

The Owls, under the direction of 17th-year head coach Ken Anderson, return to action this Sunday, February 17 at the Towson Invitational in Towson, Maryland.
