TEMPLE WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS DEFEATS CORNELL IN NAIL-BITER AT MCGONIGLE HALL

Senior Cicely Warrington posted a meet-best 9.925 on floor and Andrea McGary scored a 9.850 in the event to lead the Owls to victory. It was the only event of the competition the Owls won, as the Big Red captured the beam, bars and vault. Warrington had the best all-around showing of the competition, scoring a 38.400, in addition to winning the vault with a 9.525 effort.
It was the third meeting of the season between the Owls and the Big Red. On January 19, Cornell out-scored Temple, 185.750-184.240 at the George Washington Invitational. At New Hampshire on February 2, the Owls bested the Big Red, 189.075-187.925.
Temple's best bar routine of the competition belonged to Paige Ozaroski, who posted a 9.750 to finish second in the event. Ozaroski also led the Owls on beam with a 9.625 to finish third.
Temple returns to action next Saturday, March 23, at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Kingston, R.I.
