RAMS EDGE OWLS IN WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS DUAL MEET

3.2.02 | Women's Gymnastics

The Temple University women's gymnastics team narrowly lost to the Rhode Island Rams 188.825-187.750 in a dual meet at McGonigle Hall on March 2, 2002. The Owls won the balance beam with an overall score of 46.925 while Rhode Island took the vault (47.450), the bars (46.600) and the floor exercise (48.125).

The Owls were led by Erin Davis with a 9.675 on the beam. Davis also held the top all-around score of the meet with a 37.975 effort. Brynne Hillman took the bars with 9.550, Andrea McGary won the vault with 9.70, while Cicely Warrington posted a 9.725 on the floor exercise to lead all competitors.

Brooke Hamilton led the Rams with a high score of 9.675 on the floor exercise and a 9.575 on the vault. Fellow teammate JoAnna Judge posted a 9.675 showing on the floor exercise.

Temple returns to action next Saturday, March 9, 2002 in a 1 p.m. tri-meet with Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut in Bridgeport, Conn.
