CICELY WARRINGTON HEADED TO NCAA REGIONALS

Temple senior Cicely Warrington (Howell, N.J./Freehold) has qualified to compete in the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regional Competition at Penn State University in University Park, Pa., on April 6, 2002. If Warrington advances, she will compete at the NCAA Championships at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., April 18-20.

Warrington was the top all-around performer for Temple, placing third with a 38.700 effort at the Atlantic 10 Championships on March 23. Her 9.950 score on balance beam at the Championships was good for a second-place tie, earning her all-conference honors. Warrington is the Owls' first all-league honoree since Adrienne Carver, who was named All-Atlantic 10 on bars and in the all-around in 1996.
