TWO OWLS TO COMPETE IN WNBA PRE-DRAFT CAMP

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple forward Athena Christoforakis and guard Natalia Isaac are among the more than 80 players confirmed to participate in the 2002 WNBA Pre-Draft Camp at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois on April 12 and 13.

Both seniors were part of a historic season that netted Temple its first ever Atlantic 10 Championship. Isaac led the Owls in scoring (12.9 ppg.) and ranked fourth on the team in steals (29). Christoforakis, a first team all-conference selection, was Temple's second-leading scorer (12.1 ppg) and top rebounder (8.6 rpg.) while ranking second in steals (50).

Christoforakis and Isaac are two of three players from the Atlantic 10 scheduled to attend the camp and are the first ever Owls to participate. The WNBA hopefuls, comprised of players from more than 60 colleges and universities, will showcase their skills during the two-day camp.

All 16 WNBA teams will be scouting players in preparation for the WNBA Draft, which will be held on Friday, April 19, beginning at 11:30 a.m. EDT televised on ESPN2. A total of 64 players will be selected in the four round draft.

9:10 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. drills/position work/half-court games

12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. media availability

2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. full-court games
