TEMPLE GOLFERS FINISH 12TH AT PRINCETON INVITATIONAL

The Temple University golf team placed tied for 12th out of 19 schools at the Princeton Invitational, held April 12-13 at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. The Owls shot a two-round 603 (307-296).

Temple tied for 12th with Atlantic 10 Conference member Richmond (308-295).

Junior Jon Rusk was the Owls only top 20 finisher, placing tied for fifth with a 139 (-3, 74-65) effort. Rusk's second-round 65 was the invitational's second-lowest score of the weekend.

Temple was one of three Philadelphia programs in the tournament. Pennsylvania finished eighth (299-293-592) and Villanova placed tied for 14th (302-302-604).

Penn State won the invitational with a 569 (287-282) team score. Nittany Lion Josh Dawes won the individual title with a 136 showing (-6, 73-63).
