BROCKER RECEIVES TOP WEEKLY HONORS

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman Joe Brocker, a defender on the Temple University men's soccer team (3-4) was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Week for the week ending September 22.

Brocker helped the Owls post a 2-0 record this week after contributing two goals and two assists for six points. In Temple's 4-1 win over Philadelphia University, Brocker put the Owls on the board in the first period and assisted on a goal in the second period. The Archbishop Ryan native had an identical game on September 21 in the Owls 2-1 win over Long Island University.

The Owls face cross-town rival Pennsylvania this Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at Penn. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
