MEN'S SOCCER LOSES HEARTBREAKER TO PENN 1-0

Philadelphia, Pa -- The Temple University men's soccer team (3-5) lost a heartbreaker to the Pennsylvania Quakers 1-0 this afternoon, September 25, 2002.

The Quakers were on the board early, when senior Robb Jankura pushed the ball past Owls goalie Patrick Hannigan just three minutes into period one. The Owls were out shot 13-6, but Temple's defense kicked into action and held the Quakers to just one goal. The early goal was Penn would nee to secure the win.

Owls goalie, Hannigan, posted five saves in ninety minutes of play.

The Cherry and White return home this weekend to face Atlantic 10 rival Saint Joseph's on Saturday, September 28, 2002. Game time is 1 p.m.
