WOMEN'S BASKETBALL POSTS DOUBLE DIGIT WIN IN HOME OPENER

Sophomore center Candice Dupree led the Owls with 14 points. Senior guard Christena Hamilton (12) and junior guard Cynthia Jordan (10) also scored in double figures for Temple. Jordan had a career-high 10 assists, while Hamilton dished out a career-high five. Senior forward Tynecia Pam, who scored seven points, tied a career-high with 10 rebounds.
Tiffani Mayes led East Tennessee State with 16 points. B. J. Banjo (11) was the only other Bucs player to put double figures in the scoring column.
Temple held the edge in assists (25-10) and tunrovers (TU 10, ETSU 17) while East Tennessee State out-rebounded the Owls and had the advantage in steals (7-5). Each team blocked five shots with Dupree having a game-high three.
The Owls improve to 2-1 on the season while the Bucs fall to 0-1. Temple will next travel to Rutgers to play the 3-1 Scarlet Knights on Saturday, December 6. Tip-off is at 2:00 p.m.
