MEN'S SOCCER GARNERS MAJOR AWARDS AT SOCCER SEVEN BANQUET David MacWilliams named Coach of the Year and Patrick Hannigan garners Co-Player of the Year

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's soccer team continued to bask in its successful 2003 season as the Owls garnered major awards at the annual Soccer Seven awards banquet on Wednesday, December 3. David MacWilliams was named Coach of the Year while junior goalkeeper Patrick Hannigan was named co-Player of the Year.

Hannigan, who led the Soccer Seven with a 0.68 goals against average and a school-record-tying nine shutouts, was joined on the first team by junior forward Nate Webb and junior sweeper back Joe Brocker.

MacWilliams guided Temple to a 13-6-3 record and its first A-10 Tournament appearance since the 1993 season. The Owls posted a 6-13-1 mark in 2002.
