WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST XAVIER ON FEBRUARY 13

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team (8-13, 4-6 A-10) will host Xavier (15-7, 7-4 A-10) on Thursday, February 13 at the Liacouras Center. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. Although Xavier leads the series 6-2, the teams have split their two meetings in the Dawn Staley Era with each winning on the opposing court. Each team enters tonight's contest following a win on Sunday. The Musketeers won a quadruple overtime affair with George Washington 94-92 while the Owls topped La Salle 67-63. Temple is the defending Atlantic 10 Champion while Xavier claimed the title in 2000 and 2001. Each team is in second place in its respective division this season. The Musketeers are in sole possession of second place in the A-10 West while the Owls are tied for second (Massachusetts)in the A-10 East.
