WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST UMASS IN REGULAR SEASON HOME FINALE

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team (10-14, 6-7 A-10) will host UMass (12-12, 4-9 A-10) on Sunday, February 23 at the Liacouras Center. Tip-off is at 2:00 p.m. The series is tied at 20 games apiece and four of the last five contests have been decided in overtime. Earlier this season, the Owls and the Minutewomen had another overtime classic at the Mullins Center. While UMass prevailed in that game 89-80, Temple's Stacey Smalls scored a career-high 35 points and connected on a school record nine three pointers. Since that game, the Minutewomen are 2-8 while the Owls are 5-4 including winning four out of their last five.
