ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Temple University women's gymnastics team (7-10) put forth solid efforts on the vault and the beam, defeating Cornell by a score of 187.875-187.800 on Saturday afternoon at Teagle Gymnasium.

The Owls' Paige Ozaroski and Lexis Zafferes each captured first place in one event.

Ozaroski, a junior won the beam (9.675), and Zafferes, a sophomore captured the vault (9.675). Temple won the vault (47.250-46.00) and the beam (45.675-45.375). Cornell won the bars (48.325-47.775) and the floor (48.100-47.175).

The Owls will travel to State College, Pa. to compete in a tri-meet against Penn State, Cornell and Florida on Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
