Junior Jerry Chen captured his first collegiate tournament title as the Temple men's golf team placed 13th out of 18 squads at the Treasure Coast Classic in Port St. Lucie, Fla., March 13-14, 2003. Chen, who shared the individual title with Saint John's Andrew Svoboda (71-71) shot a two-round 142, including a second-round 70, to earn his sixth career top 10 finish.

The tournament, played at par 72 PGA Country Club, was the Owls' first event of the spring season.
