PHILADELPHIA, Pa.-The Temple women's gymnastics team (8-12) edged by cross-town rival Penn in the Quakers' final home meet of the season on Saturday, March 22. The Owls squeaked out a win by 75-hundredths of a point over the Quakers, 190.400-190.325.

Owls senior Cicely Warrington(Howell, N.J./Freehold) captured first on the floor exercise and sophomore Alexis Zafferes (Needham, Mass.) placed first on the vault.

The Philadelphia rivals split the day's events, winning two each. Penn won the balance beam (47.300) and floor exercise (48.700), while Temple captured the vault (47.825) and the uneven bars (47.825).

The Owls will host the Atlantic 10 Invitational against George Washington and Rhode Island on Saturday, March 29 in McGonigle Hall at 4p.m.
