WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO FACE RICHMOND IN ATLANTIC 10 QUARTERFINAL ON MARCH 7

Kingston, R.I. - The Temple women's basketball team (13-14, 9-7 A-10), the number 2 seed in the Atlantic 10 East, will face Richmond (19-9, 9-7 A-10), the number three seed in the Atlantic 10 West, in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Ryan Center on the Rhode Island campus. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The Owls, who earned a first round bye, will square off against the Spiders, who defeated East #6 St. Bonaventure 58-43 on March 6. This is just the third meeting between Temple and Richmond and the second time they will face each other this season. In the first meeting on January 30, Richmond prevailed in overtime, 73-66. The Spiders lead the overall series 2-1. The Owls, the defending conference champions, have a 4-1 record in Atlantic 10 Tournament games in the Dawn Staley Era.
