WOMEN'S TRACK PLACES THIRD AT DELAWARE INVITATIONAL

Senior Aderonke Adeniyi led the way for the Owls with a first place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.94, a third place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.94 and a second place finish in the long jump with a score of 5.67 meters. Other performers with first place finishes include Rachel Clinton in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.93, Jessica Dunston in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.34 and Edith Lewis in the triple jump with a score of 12.03 meters.
Senior Naomi Beverly placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.27 while Clinton placed fifth with a time of 12.50. Beverly also placed eighth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.81 while teammate Tiffany Duncan placed fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.73. Distance runner Tanesha Shelton placed third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22.25 while junior Ruby Amanze placed seventh with a time of 2:29.06. Sophomore Jessica Dunston placed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.06 while freshman Aisha Raheem placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.94.
Sophomore Farren Benson placed third in the triple jump with a score of 11.25 meters while freshman Jillian Faulks placed seventh with a score of 10.55 meters. In the long jump, freshman Jenee Moore placed ninth with a score of 4.86 meters.
The relay 4X100 relay team placed second with a time of 47.64 while the 4X400 relay team placed second with a time of 4:04.67.
Next up for the Owls is the Morgan State Invitational set for April 19 in Baltimore, Maryland.
