MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK HAVE IMPRESSIVE OUTING AT PENN RELAYS

PHILADELPHIA-- The Temple University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the Penn Relays this past weekend, April 25-27.

The women's 4X200 relay team led the way for the Owls with a third place finish in the ECAC Championship with a time of 1:37.28. The 4X400 team placed seventh with a time of 3:44.48. Rounding out the relay for the Owls was the 4X100 relay team with a time of 46.21 and the 4X800 relay team with a time of 9:17.82.

In the individual events, sophomore Rachel Clinton competed in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.14 and senior Edith Lewis competed in the triple jump with a score of 11.67 meters.

The men's relay teams also had impressive times. The 4X100 relay team had a time of 42.55 while the 4X200 relay team had a score of 1:26.12. The 4X400 relay team placed fifth in their heat with a time of 3:15.61, a season best. Individually, Robert Leite-Young competed in the triple jump with a score of 14.33 meters.

Both teams travel to Richmond, Virginia next weekend, May 3 and 4 to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships.
