WOMEN'S TRACK HAS STELLAR OUTING AT PENN INVITATIONAL

Senior Edith Lewis led the Owls again this weekend with a first place finish in the triple jump with a score of 11.69 meters and second place in the long jump with a score of 5.54 meters. Sophomore Jessica Dunston took first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.30 while sophomore Rachel Clinton placed second with a time of 14.82. Dunston and Clinton also ran the 400-meter hurdles and finished with times of 1:06.26 and 1:12.17 respectively. Rounding out the sophomore hurdlers was Jaweia Campbell who finished fourth with a time of 15.17.
In the 100-meter dash, Aderonke Adeniyi placed second with a time of 12.44 wile senior Naomi Beverly placed seventh with a time of 12.72. Sophomore Jaweia Campbell placed 12th with a time of 12.79 in the 100 meter dash while freshman Jenee Moore finished in 15th place with a time of 12.86. Adeniyi went on to place third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.15 while teammate Samantha Porter placed seventh with a time of 25.51. Porter went on to place third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.37.
The relay teams also fared well this weekend placing first in the 4X100 with a time of 47.41 and tenth in the 4X400 with a time of 4:19.08.
Next up for the Owls is a trip to Delaware this weekend, April 12 when they will participate in the Delaware Invitational
