TEMPLE PLACES 9TH AT NAVY FALL INVITATIONAL

ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Temple Owls shot better on day two of the Navy Fall Invitational, but the team dropped a spot in the overall standings to place ninth (595 strokes) in its first competition of the year. The Owls shot a 12-over par 295 as a team, four strokes better than the previous day's total of 299 at the par 71 USNA Golf Course. The Cherry and White were 30 shots behind overall winner Georgetown (3-under par 565), but only two behind Saint Joseph's and William and Mary which tied for seventh at 593 strokes.

Freshman Logan Terry led the way for Temple, carding a one-under par 70 on Sunday to tie for 10th overall. Terry posted a 73 on Saturday for a combined twio-day score of 143 (+1).

The Owls next take to the links on September 26-27 when they play in the McLaughlin Invitational at Bethpage Golf Club in Farmingdale, N.Y.
