RALEIGH, NC - Sophomore Anthony Donatelli took a feed from freshman Ryan Heins in the box and driled it past North Carolina State goalkeeper Jorge Gonzalez in the 84th minute to lift Temple to a 1-0 win over the host Wolfpack on Wednesday afternoon at the SAS Soccer Stadium. The win improved the Owls record to 4-1 on the season while N.C. State fell to 2-4.

Senior goalkeeper Patrick Hannigan made his first start of the season and was stellar, recording eight saves in the match. Hannigan had missed the first four Owl matches due to a broken arm suffered in the preseason.

On the winning goal, Heins dribbled down the right side of the field and found an open Donatelli in the NC State box.

Donatelli chested the ball down and netted the game's lone goal at the 83:26 mark.

In the second half Wolfpack senior Hiroki Kawase launched a shot at the Temple goal only to have Hannigan make a brilliant diving save to keep NC State off the scoreboard.

The Owls next travel to Villanova for a 1:00 p.m. start of Sunday afternoon.

Temple 0 1 -- 1

NC State 0 0 -- 0

Scoring:

Temple: Donatelli from Heins at 83:26.
