JUNIOR BILLY MULLEN NAMED A-10 GOLF PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

Temple junior Billy Mullen, a native of Norristown, Pa., was today named the Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Performer of the Week.

Mullen placed second at The McLaughlin, held September 26-27 at the par 70 Bethpage Country Club Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y., the top finish of his collegiate career. After opening the tournament with a then-career best 67 on Friday, Mullen did one better in Saturday's second round with a four-under par 66. Mullen posted a 71 in the third and final round to finish with a six-under par 204.

Temple, under the direction of third-year head coach Bill Mannino, finished second in the tournament behind ACC-powerhouse Maryland.
