OWLS' ADENIYI AND DAVIS HELP WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TO FIFTH PLACE IN GREAT DANE CLASSIC

The 11-school field featured four America East Conference members the host school Albany, Binghamton, UMBC and Northeastern. Other participants included Lafayette, Monmouth, Rider, Southern Connecticut State, Wheeling Jesuit and Temple. Rounding out the field is Division III program Hunter College.
Adeniyi was timed in 25.02 in the 200 meters and 57.05 in the 400 meters. Davis captured second in the high jump with a leap of 1.65 meters. Juniors Rachel Clinton and Jessica Dunston placed third and fifth respectively in the 55 meter hurdles, Clinton ran an 8.35 and Dunston 8.42. Other notable results for Temple : Junior Farren Benson placed sixth in the 500 meters and freshman Rachel Johnson placed seventh. Senior Jawaia Campbell finished seventh in the 55 meter dash and senior Ruby Amanze completed the 1000 meters in eighth place.
The Temple 4x800m relay team placed second with a time of 9:27.00 and the 4x400m relay team earned a fifth place with a time of 4:04.37.
The Owls will next participate in the Maryland Invitational on Friday January 24.
