WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES THIRD AT GEORGE WASHINGTON INVITATIONAL

WASHINGTON D.C.- The Temple women's gymnastics team led by freshman Noelle Moore placed third out of a six team field at the George Washington Invitational held on Sunday afternoon January 18 in the Smith Center on the campus of George Washington University. North Carolina won the event with a score of 194.800. The host school George Washington placed second (192.500) followed by the Owls (189.250), Penn (189.075), William and Mary 187.450 and Cornell 185.750.

Moore placed second on the balance beam with a score of 9.750, tied for fifth place on the floor exercise (9.800) and fourth in the all-around (38.325) to lead the Owls to a third place finishes.

Next Temple will travel to Rutgers on Wednesday January 21. The meet is scheduled to start at 7p.m.
