PATRICK HANNIGAN NAMED A-10 AND SOCCER 7 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA - Senior goalkeeper Patrick Hannigan, who has been flawless in goal over his last 331 minutes of action, has been named Player of the Week by both the Atlantic 10 Conference and the Philadelphia Soccer 7 for the week ending October 24.
The Philadelphia native (Frankford HS) posted consecutive shutouts during the week's action as the Owls improved their record to 8-6-2 overall and 5-1-2 in A-10 play. Hannigan made four saves in a 1-0 win over league-leading Duquesne on October 22 and then recorded three saves, including one diving stop on a first half breakaway, in a 2-0 victory of St. Bonaventure on Temple's Senior Day (Oct. 24). He also celebrated his 22nd birthday between the two matches (Oct. 23).
Hannigan now has compiled three straight shutouts and has not allowed a goal since the 29th minute of a 2-1 win at La Salle on October 15. On the season he has posted five shutouts and owns a 1.13 goals against average and a .814 save percentage.
