WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TRAVELS TO UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA ON SATURDAY

GAINESVILLE, FL-The Temple women's basketball team (3-2) will travel to Gainsville, Fla. to take on the University of Florida Gators on Saturday, December 4th at 2:30 p.m.
Temple is coming off of a resounding 72-42 win over Morgan State on Wednesday night. Senior Candace Dupree led all scorers with 12 points to give the Owls their third win of the season. The Owl defense held Morgan State to just 26% shooting from the field and forced 32 turnovers. Senior Cynthia Jordan was also in double figures for Temple, tallying 11 points and six assists. Senior Ari Moore grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, while freshman Ashley Morris totaled five points and six assists in 19 minutes of play.
Dupree leads the way for TU with 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game to pace three Owls in double figures. She is followed by Moore (11.4 ppg) and Jordan (10.4 ppg). Jordan and Kamesha Hairston lead the team with 10 steals a piece.
The Owls return home to take on Big 5 foe University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 8th at 5:30 in a women's and men's double-header.
Junior Bernice Mosby scored 16 points in leading the University of Florida women's basketball team to a 67-42 win against UCF on Tuesday evening. Two other Gators ended the game in double digits as senior Tashia Morehead and junior Danielle Santos netted 15 and 10 points, respectively, as all 11 players scored for UF.
Santos and Busby are averaging a team-high 14.3 ppg to lead the Gators. Mosby also leads in rebounds (7.0 rpg), while Sarah Lowe is tops in assists (17) and steals (9).
