FRESHMAN ERIN DAVIS SETS PERSONAL BEST MARK AT ARMORY WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL

NEW YORK-Freshman high jump sensation Erin Davis won the high jump with a personal best mark of 1.70 meters as the Temple women's track and field team placed 14th out of a field of 30 in the University Division at the New Balance Armory Collegiate Invitational a two-day meet held on Friday (Feb. 13) and Saturday (Feb.14). Essex County College won the meet with a score of 96 points. James Madison placed second (53) and Buffalo placed third with 45.50 points.
Davis won her third meet of the season and has qualified for the ECAC Championships with two marks of 1.65 meters in previous meets this season. She is the reigning Temple Student Athlete of the Week and also was named the A-10 Performer of the Week for the earlier this season.
Juniors Rachel Clinton and Jessica Dunston placed fourth and fifth respectively in the 60-meter hurdles, Clinton crossed the tape in 8.73 and Dunston in 8.89.
Sophomore Aisha Raheem won the section 2 heat in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:18.26 and senior Ruby Amanze ran a personal best 2:16.89 in the 800-meters.
