MEN'S TENNIS FALLS AT SWARTHMORE, 5-2

SWARTHMORE, PA - The Temple University men's tennis team dropped its second match of the spring season, falling 5-2 at Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon.
The day started off well for the Owls as the doubles teams of Tyley Wynne and Yhonny Murray at the number one slot and James Logan and Matt Struble at number three were victorious to put the Cherry and White ahead 1-0. Wynne and Murray just edged the Garnet team of Mike Noreika and Frank Visciano, 8-6, while Logan and Struble topped the team of Jon Reiss and Ben Rae, 8-4. The Owls' John Sy and Elad Ziv fell to Zac Rodd and Brian Park, 8-4, at the number two position.
Singles, however, did not go as well. Only Murray, playing at number two, was a winner for Temple. He bested Reiss, 7-6 (2), 6-4.
The five other matches were hard fought, with Struble going three sets at number three before falling, 6-7 (3), 7-5, 6-0.
Temple, 0-2, next hosts George Washington on Friday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m.
