MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO GEORGE WASHINGTON IN HOME OPENER

MORRISVILLE, PA - George Washington defeated Temple, 7-0, to spoil the Owls men's tennis home opener on Friday night at the Pennsbury Racquet Club. The Owls are now 0-3 on the season.
The Owls were not completely shutout as their number one doubles pair of Tyler Wynne and Yhonny Murray defeated Matt Hane and Jake Jopling of George Washington, 9-7. The Colonials were able to capture the doubles point as its number two and three pairs were victorious.
Wynne lost to Hane, a 2003 Atlantic 10 all-conference selection, 6-4, 6-1 at number one singles while Murray dropped a 7-6, 6-2 decision to Matt Treadgold, also an all-A10 pick. Jopling downed Matt Struble at third singles, 6-3,6-1 while GW's Will Timmons defeated Jon Sy, 6-2, 6-3 at number four.
Brett Warner won over TU's James Logan at number five singles while Daniel Balke completed the sweep with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at six singles over Elad Ziv.
