RACHEL CLINTON WINS 55-METER HURDLES TITLE AS WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD PLACES SEVENTH AT A-10 INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Clinton was the Owls' sole indoor champion crossing the tape in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.10. Temple took three of the top four spots in the event with junior Jessica Dunston placing second (8.18)and senior Jaweia Campbell earning fourth with a time of 8.37.
Freshman Erin Davis placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.65 meters. Kenesha Oldarcre placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.25 meters, while juniors Jillian Faulks and Tanesha Shelton contributed points. Faulks earned a point for her eighth place finish in the triple jump (10.71 meters) and Shelton was awarded two points for her seventh place finish in the 800 meters (2.21.60).
The 4x800 relay team of Aisha Raheem, Ruby Amanze, Rachel Johnson and Tanesha Shelton placed second with a time of 9.24.18.
Clinton was named to the 2004 A-10 Indoor All Conference team for her performance in the 55- meter hurdles.
