OZAROSKI TAKES FIRST ON BEAM AS WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS FINISHES THIRD IN QUAD MEET

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Senior Paige Ozaroski earned the Owls' sole first place finish on balance beam as the Temple women's gymnastics team placed third in a quad meet featuring Rugters, Maryland, and Bridgeport on February 28 at Livingston Recreation Center. Host Rutgers won the competition with a 195.100 team score, while Maryland took second with a 193.925 score. Temple and Bridgeport scored 192.425 and 189.500, respectively.

On balance beam Ozaroski tied Maryland's Sarah Hoenig for first place. Ozaroski's 9.90 effort marked a new personal best score on the apparatus. Ozaroski also tied teammate Erin Davis for fifth place on uneven bars with a 9.825 score.

Freshman Sarah Liebowtiz provided Temple's strongest performance on bars as she finished third in the event with a 9.875 score.

On vault Alexis Zafferes added a sixth place finish with 9.550 score.

The Temple women's gymnastics team returns to McGonigle Hall next weekend as the Owls host Rhode Island, Ursinus, and West Chester at 2:00 p.m.
