CLINTON AND DAVIS LEAD WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD IN QUAKER INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA-Rachel Clinton and freshman sensation Erin Davis each captured first in an event as the Temple women's track and field team competed in the Quaker Invitational at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday March 20. The meet, a non-team scoring event opened the 2004 outdoor season for Temple.

Davis won the high jump with a leap of 1.73 meters. Clinton won the 100- meter hurdles in a time of 14.37 while teammates Jessica Dunston placed second (14.75) and Jaweia Campbell earned fifth place (15.33), to take three of the top five places in the event.

Jillian Faulks placed fifth in the long jumps (4.51 meters). The 4x800 relay team placed second (9:47) and the 4x100 relay squad placed third with a time of 49.72.

The Owls will next compete in the Raleigh Relays on March 25- 27 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
