MEN'S TENNIS DOWNS DUQUESNE, 4-3, FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

MORRISVILLE, PA - The Temple University men's tennis team won its first match of the 2004 season, defeating Atlantic 10 Conference rival Duquesne, 4-3, Friday at the Pennsbury Racquet Club. The Owls are now 1-3 on the season.
Three of the Owls four points in the match came from their top two players. Juniors Tyler Wynne and Yhonny Murray were victorious at number one and two singles, respectively. Th two then combined to win at first doubles, 9-8, over Devon Peightal and Rodrigo Lacayo of Duquesne.
Freshman Jon Sy won the other point for Temple, defeating Mike Belmonte, 6-2, 6-3, at fifth singles.
The Owls next play Monmouth March 23 at Temple Pavilion (2:30 p.m.).
