WOMEN'S CREW TAKES FIRST PLACE AT BUCKNELL

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The women's crew team took first place in both the Varsity 8 and Novice 4 events at Bucknell University on Saturday.
The Varsity 8 boat outdistanced Bucknell by 13 seconds to take first place in a time of 6:51.0. The Novice 4 'A' boat also beat Bucknell by 13 seconds, placing first in a time of 8:29.0. The Novice 4 'B' boat finished third in a time of 9:13.0.
In the 2nd Varsity 8 race, Temple finished nine seconds behind Bucknell for second place with a time of 7:14.0. The Novice 8 boat also took second place with a time of 7:23.0.
The women's team will next compete April 17-18 at the Knecht Cup, in Collingswood, N.J.
