WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD PLACES SIXTH AT DELAWARE INVITATIONAL

NEWARK, DEL.-Junior Rachel Clinton continued her outstanding outdoor season capturing first in the 100-meter hurdles and junior Jessica Dunston placed second in the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles as the Temple women's track and field team placed sixth (73.50 points) out of 11 teams at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday April 10.
Clinton sprinted to a time of 14.11 to capture first in the 100-meter hurdles while fellow junior Jessica Dunston placed second 14.40 and senior Jaweia Campbell grabbed fifth place in a time of 15.45.The Owls continued their domination in the hurdles for the second week in row as Dunston placed second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.99) and sophomore Aisha Raheem placed third in a time of 1:04.47.
Junior Tanesha Shelton took second place in the 800-meters (2:17.07). Freshman high jumper Erin Davis had a meet-high tying jump of 1.60 meters; however she placed second because she took more attempts to complete the height.
