TEMPLE IN THE LEAD AFTER FIRST ROUND OF SCOTTY DUNCAN MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

MIDDLETOWN, DE - Temple holds a three shot lead over tournament host Delaware after the first round of the Scotty Duncan Memorial at Back Creek Golf Course. The Owls shot a 10-over par 294 on the par 71, 7,003-yard course Saturday. The second and final round of the 10-team tournament gets underway at 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
Temple junior Patrick O'Neill shot a one-under par 70 to take a two-shot lead heading into Sunday finale. Delaware's Steve Banks and Daniel Spiker are tied for second after carding one-over par 72's.
Billy Mullen (T-4th, 74), James Chan (T-8th, 75), Logan Terry (T-8th, 75) and Matt Roberts (T-14th, 77) comprised the rest of the Temple scorecard. 54 student-athletes are competing in the tournament.
