WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD COMPETES IN 110TH PENN RELAYS

PHILADELPHIA- An injury-plagued Temple women's track team competed in the 110th Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field held on April 22-24 on the University of Penn's campus.

The Owls' 400-meter relay team of Jessica Dunston, Rachel Johnson, Tynisha Gardner and Tiffany Duncan placed third out of eight teams in their section in the 4x400m relay (event 68) with a time of 3:55.80 on Thursday April 22. Temple finished ahead of Lincoln (Pa.), Hartwick, Navy, Ithaca and Wagner. Lafayette won the heat with a time of 3:51.72 and Kutztown placed second (3:54.87).

In the 400-meter hurdles (event 3) junior Jessica Dunston placed third in her section and 35th out of 44 competitors (63.85) while sophomore Aisha Raheem placed eighth in her section and 42nd overall with time a of 65.50.

Next the Owls will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships to be held in Richmond, Virginia on May 1-2.
